Matches the protocol prefix http:// or https:// (case-insensitive via the i flag) at the start of each line in multi-line text (m flag). Commonly used in find-and-replace operations to strip URL schemes from lists of links, e.g., normalizing domains in exported URL lists or cleaning up log files. The g flag ensures every occurrence across all lines is matched.
