Validates dates in MM/DD/YYYY format with months 1-12, days 1-31, and years 2000-2199. Accepts both zero-padded (e.g., 01/05/2023) and single-digit (e.g., 1/5/2023) months and days. Commonly used for form input validation of US-style date fields. Note that it checks format and numeric ranges only, not true calendar validity (e.g., 02/31/2024 would still match).
