This PCRE regex extracts the `for` attribute value and the text content from an HTML `<label>` element, specifically capturing text located immediately before a `<br>` tag. It is useful for web scraping or parsing simple HTML forms where labels and inputs are separated by line breaks. Note that for complex HTML, a dedicated parser is recommended over regular expressions.
