Test, validate and match regular expressions
This PCRE regex matches contiguous sequences of word characters, hyphens, and spaces that are strictly not enclosed in double quotes. It uses negative lookbehind and lookahead assertions to ensure the captured text is completely unquoted, alongside an atomic group to optimize performance and prevent backtracking. It is highly useful for parsing configuration files, CSV data, or command-line arguments where there is a need to isolate or validate unquoted string values.
