Build, test, and debug regular expressions
This regular expression matches IPv4 addresses by looking for up to four groups of one to three digits separated by dots. It is highly effective for extracting IP addresses from server logs, configuration files, and unstructured text. However, it performs a lenient match and does not strictly validate that the numbers fall within the valid 0-255 range, so it may also match numerically invalid IPs like '999.999.999.999'.
