Test, validate and match regular expressions
This regular expression matches standard identifier strings used in many programming languages. It requires the string to start with an uppercase or lowercase letter, followed by zero or more letters, digits, or single underscores. Note that consecutive or trailing underscores are not permitted, as each underscore must be followed by a letter or digit. It is perfect for validating variable names, function names, or other token identifiers.
