This PCRE regex matches key-value pairs where the key can be a hierarchical dot-separated path (up to 6 levels deep), like 'parent.child.name=value'. It captures the full attribute path in the 'atributo' group, the parent path segments in 'pai', and the assigned value in 'valor'. With multiline flags, it's ideal for parsing configuration files, properties files, or settings documents with nested/hierarchical keys.
