Test, validate and match regular expressions
This regex matches entire lines that do not contain the string ".git" anywhere within them. Using a negative lookahead at each character position, it ensures the sequence ".git" never occurs. It's commonly used in shell pipelines or text processing to filter out Git-related output such as references to .git directories or files.
