Test, validate and match regular expressions
This PCRE regex matches and captures content enclosed within literal parentheses on a single line. Because the dot plus (.+) quantifier is greedy, it will capture all characters between the very first opening parenthesis and the last closing parenthesis on that line. It is frequently used for extracting data, comments, or parameters from structured or unstructured text.
