Regex Tester & Validator

This regex matches one or more word characters that are immediately followed by a space or tab. Using a positive lookahead, it captures the first word in a sequence without including the whitespace character in the match itself. It is particularly useful for extracting the first name in a two-part name or finding the first word of any given line.
