Test, validate and match regular expressions
This regex matches basic email addresses in text by looking for word characters followed by an @ symbol, more word characters, a period, and additional word characters. It's designed to quickly extract simple email addresses from documents or logs without complex validation. The global and multiline flags allow it to find multiple matches across multiple lines of text. Note that this pattern has limitations and won't match emails with dots in usernames, subdomains, or special characters.
