This regular expression matches the end of a line to isolate specific components of a file path, making it ideal for parsing WSUS content files or similar structured filenames. It captures an underscore, the following sequence of non-underscore characters, and a three-character file extension at the end of the string. Using the global and multiline flags, it can efficiently extract these distinct parts from multiple filenames listed in a text block.
