Build, test, and debug regular expressions
This regex matches strings composed of zero or more segments, where each segment is either a single digit (0-9) or one or more letters (a-zA-Z). It's commonly used in lexer/tokenizer examples for separating numeric and alphabetic tokens. Note that this pattern is susceptible to catastrophic backtracking on certain non-matching inputs due to nested quantifiers.
