Test, validate and match regular expressions
This regular expression is designed to parse structured log entries, such as those from etcd, using named capture groups for `time`, `severity`, `source`, and `message`. It expects a line to start with exactly eight non-digit characters, followed by a timestamp and a severity level separated by a slash or pipe. Towards the end of the line, it also isolates a standardized `logdate` (YYYY-MM-DD) and `logtime` (HH:MM:SS.SSS) format. This pattern is useful for log aggregation and extracting specific metadata from complex application logs.
