This regex matches DOI (Digital Object Identifier) references in text. It looks for the pattern 'doi: 10.' followed by 1 to 50 digits, a slash, and then one or more non-whitespace characters ending with a period and any character. The global and multiline flags allow it to find multiple DOI references across multiple lines.
