This PCRE regex parses structured identifiers with three pipe-separated fields: a GID number (digits), a rank (digits), and an uppercase function code. The negative lookbehind ensures matching begins at a clean boundary, avoiding partial matches within larger digit/pipe sequences. Useful for extracting or tokenizing delimited records in French-locale systems where fields like 'gidnumber', 'rang', and 'fonction' are needed.
