Regex Tester & Validator

This regular expression matches currency strings that use a dot (.) as the decimal separator and commas (,) as thousands separators. It optionally matches a currency prefix consisting of up to three letters followed by a dollar sign, such as "USD$". The pattern supports numbers formatted with thousands separators (up to four groups) or plain digits, ending with an optional two-digit decimal amount.
