This regex matches currency values, either whole numbers or numbers with exactly two decimal places for cents. It is commonly used to validate user input for monetary amounts, ensuring no more than two decimal digits. With the multiline flag, it can validate each line of a textarea or a list of amounts. It does not allow negative numbers, commas, or currency symbols.
