This regex validates conventional commit messages that begin with a type (feat, chore, fix, security, or wip), followed by optional space, a project ticket ID in the format of uppercase letters/digits then a hyphen and digits (e.g., PROJ-123), and then a description of at least three characters. It is useful for enforcing consistent commit message conventions in CI pipelines or pre-commit hooks.
