Build, test, and debug regular expressions
This regex matches any character that is repeated consecutively five or more times, using a backreference to the first captured character. It is useful for detecting long runs of identical characters in text, such as typos ('sssss'), repeated digits, or filler expressions. With the 'i' flag it also matches case-insensitive repetitions like 'aAaAa'. Common use cases include input validation, spam filtering, and detecting repetitive patterns in user-generated content.
