This regex matches and captures one or more consecutive digits, optionally followed by a forward slash. It is designed to extract numeric character IDs from various D&D Beyond URL formats, such as /characters/1234567 or /characters/1234567/. The global and multiline flags allow it to find all occurrences across multiple lines of input. Useful for parsing or cleaning URLs to obtain the unique identifier for further processing.
