Regex Editor & Tester

This regex validates Colombian identification numbers (Cédula) in several accepted formats: 8, 10, or 11 consecutive digits, or the hyphenated 6-5 digit format (e.g., 123456-78901). It is case-insensitive and works per line, allowing empty strings due to the optional group. Use it for form validation or preprocessing of Colombian national ID inputs. Note: It does not verify the check digit, only the format.
