This regex matches complete square-bracket or curly-brace groups (e.g., [foo] or {bar}) and also captures text that does not contain '[' or '{'. The capture group holds plain text segments, making it useful for splitting template strings into literal and placeholder parts. With global and multiline flags, it finds all occurrences across lines.
