This regex matches strings that start with one or more lowercase letters, optionally followed by underscore-separated lowercase words, and ending with a character followed by 'c' (where the dot acts as a wildcard). With the multiline flag, it identifies lines resembling C source filenames, such as 'main.c' or 'my_file.c', but also matches unintended strings like 'fileXc'. It is useful for extracting or validating C file references in logs, scripts, or build outputs.
