This regex matches any string that starts and ends with the same vowel (a, e, i, o, u), with lowercase letters in between, or a single vowel by itself. It is useful for validating word patterns, filtering text for palindromic vowel boundaries, or checking simple linguistic constraints in lowercase input. The 'gm' flags allow it to work across multiple lines or as a global match.
